Re: Engine knocking

If it’s only when the engine is under load it can only be gearbox or clutch/flywheel. My money is dual mass flywheel! Our car had 4 in 3 years and under 30000miles.

Re: Should I be concerned?

Hi RVW, I was in that thread, my 1.5 dci Tekna QQ had in total 4 Clutches and flywheels (Dual Mass Flywheels) in 30000 miles, was the worst car I’ve ever owned. Always had a new car every 3-4 years and with usually 30000 miles on and never once had a clutch issue. I drive a company vehicle also and ...

Re: My first Nissan - A brand new Qashqai N-Tec

I know this is slightly off topic, but when we had our QQ Tekna, I had Continental contisport 5 fitted, whe I had new tyres fitted I had Michelin pilot sport 4 because they had a load of rim protection, I mean like 10mm past the face of the alloy! Would recommend them to anyone!

Re: Stem Valves

If they have tpms valves, go to Kwik Fit, got mine done, they have repair kits that have all the seals to repair them, cost about £10 - £15 a wheel fitted! Hope that helps!

Re: Tyre Brands

I’ve had continental contisport 5 on for the first 2 sets of tyres then went for Michelin pilot sport 4, same tyre size, what a difference, quieter, better handling and very good rim protection! I mean it’s massive compared to the conti’s before! Absolutely no way to curb the alloy which is good for...

Re: Parking sensors (cameras) faulting

Search for it on this site, well documented, it’s water inside the sensor usually from washing the car with a jet washing, I had it, new sensors fitted by Nissan and it never happened again. Never jet wash the front sensors! Lesson learned!

Re: J11 parking / proximity sensors going mad!

Known issue, use the search box. It’s water in your front two sensors, normally caused by jet washing, don’t let Nissans drill drain holes in lower bumper trim below sensors to alow water to drain, had this and it didn’t work. It needs two new sensors.

Re: Time to say goodbye!

Very true Mark46, going back to when we brought the QQ 3 1/2 years ago the spec you got in it compared to other car manufacturers was untouched. The QQ seemed to have everything and a very good price! But if you look now at the likes of the VAG group they are only now starting to match in spec! (And...
